Walking tour of Barrio Abajo
Barrio Abajo is one of Barranquilla’s most vibrant and authentic neighborhoods, known for its colorful streets, strong cultural identity, and deep connection to the city’s artistic spirit. This walking tour offers a chance to explore local murals, meet artisans, and experience the neighborhood’s music, creativity, and everyday life up close. It is especially interesting for travelers who want to go beyond the usual attractions and discover a place where heritage, community, and living culture come together in a truly memorable way.
For a richer cultural experience, guests can also add “How Does Barrio Abajo Sound?”, an immersive activity that explores the neighborhood’s traditional musical heritage through live interpretation of folcloric instruments. This experience is available in two options: an intimate session led by a single folklorist using the instruments of a millo ensemble, or a full performance featuring a complete five-piece millo group with a traditional live presentation.

Gran Malecón del Río Tour
Gran Malecón del Río (Walking or Car Tour)
The Gran Malecón del Río Tour is a favorite among our Barranquilla City Tours and offers a scenic and flexible way to experience one of Barranquilla’s most iconic waterfront destinations, available either as a walking tour or by car with some walking involved. The walking tour includes stops at Caimán del Río, the Shakira statue, the Sofía Vergara statue, and the Luna del Río Ferris wheel, while Aleta del Tiburón, Jardín del Río, and Ventana al Mundo are not included on the walking option and can be added with the car tour. Guests may also board the Ferris wheel for an additional fee, and depending on the start time, they may be able to add a 45-minute Ríobus boat tour at 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

Junior F.C. Soccer / Football Tour
Experience the excitement of local football with the Junior FC Soccer/Football Tour, an unforgettable way to watch a live match in Barranquilla with an English-speaking guide. Although local matches are normally played at the Estadio Metropolitano, they are currently taking place at the Estadio Romelio Martínez while the Metropolitano undergoes renovations until November 2026. Junior FC is one of the city’s most iconic teams and has won the Liga BetPlay championship title 12 times, most recently in June 2026, making this tour a must for any football fan visiting Barranquilla.
Selección Colombia typically plays only a few matches per year in Colombia at the Estadio Metropolitano, and there are no confirmed Barranquilla matches scheduled after the World Cup at this time. The FCF has not yet announced the 2027 qualifier calendar or any post-World Cup friendlies, and this section should be updated once the federation publishes its future schedule. In addition, Barranquilla will host the final of the CONMEBOL 2026 Copa Sudamericana in November 21, 2026. Check back closer to this date for tour information! Plant a Mangrove Tree Tour

Our Plant a Mangrove Tree Tour offers a meaningful way to connect with Barranquilla’s natural beauty while making a lasting positive impact on the environment. This eco-tour takes place at Ciénaga de Mallorquín, this eco-experience takes guests by boat through one of the city’s most stunning coastal landscapes, where they can plant a mangrove tree and learn about biodiversity, conservation, and the vital role mangroves play in protecting the ecosystem. It is an inspiring choice for environmentalists, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to give back while enjoying a unique outdoor adventure.
Option 1: Private tour for 10 to 15 people. In order to book the tour, a minimum of 10 people have to book a spot. This is a great option for private groups looking to give back to the environment together. Includes a Spanish-speaking guide, boat, baby mangroves, bird watching, and snack. 2.5 hour tour.
Option 2: Public group tour available every Sunday. There is no minimum number of persons. Includes Spanish-speaking guide, boat, baby mangroves, and lunch. 3 hour tour.

Hiking Tour – Miramar Urban Forest
The Miramar Urban Forest (Bosque Urbano de Miramar) in Barranquilla offers a refreshing hiking experience for travelers who want to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature.
