Alejandro Char Chaljub, mayor of Barranquilla, officially announced Tatiana Angulo Fernández de Castro as the 2025 Queen for the Carnaval de Barranquilla!
Let the 2025 Carnival begin!
Tatiana Angulo, a 24-year-old architect, is a member of the collective costume group ‘Los Gorilas’ and belongs to the Fernández de Castro dynasty of Carnival queens. Her grandmother Lucía was queen in 1965, her aunt Maribel in 1987, and her cousin Cristina in 2015.
The new queen received artistic training in dance at the Julie de Donado School. She participated in various Country Club troupes, including children’s, pre-youth, youth, and singles groups, as well as in the Garabato group. She has also been part of the Carnival queen entourages of Andrea Jaramillo, Cristina Felfle, and Melissa Cure.
The 2025 carnival will take place from March 1 to 4, 2025. Palco tickets go on sale on August 15, 2024.
