Rear Admiral Javier Hernando Rubio Barrera, director of the ARC Barranquilla Naval School, shared details.  He confirmed that the 2025 Carnival Queen, Natalia Angulo Fernández de Castro, will join the event along with other queens, Rey Momo, and artists like Chelito de Castro and Juan Piña will also participate.

On Friday, January 31st, Queen Tatiana received her kepi at the Parque de las Anclas in the Malecón del Río. She was officially crowned as the Queen of the Sailors.

A Celebration with a Social Purpose

The Guacherna Fluvial is more than just music and dancing. The event raises funds for Acción Social Naval, the humanitarian branch of the Colombian Navy.

“These funds will support our crew members, including students and marines, who face financial hardships,” said the director of the Naval School. “We want to help them achieve their dreams and provide better opportunities.”

To raise more funds, the Navy will also offer premium seating for the major Carnival parades on Vía 40. From there, guests can enjoy the best folk groups in a safe and family-friendly atmosphere.
