Join Red Door Pub’s monthly beer crawl to taste craft beers from Barranquilla’s breweries. You can even bottle your own beer to take home! A bus transports you between stops, with a delicious chuzo meal to end the night.
16. Take a Riverboat Ride on the Ríobus
Barranquilla’s Ríobus Karakalí offers riverboat rides between the Gran Malecón and the Intendencia Fluvial. The fare is 6,000 COP with three daily rides and extra weekend trips.
17. Visit Puerto Mocho beach!
Barranquilla’s only beach, Puerto Mocho, is opening to the public on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Get your swimsuits ready! In order to get to the beach, you’ll have to get to the Las Flores Trolley Train station and the trolley will take you to the beach. You can also bike along the 2,000 meter bike path or walk along the Tajamar pedestrian boardwalk. Once at the beach you can enjoy some beach volleyball or beach soccer. There will be kitchens along with huts and tented areas where you can sit, eat, drink, and enjoy the view.
18. Take a Sightseeing City Bus Tour!
As of October 27, 2024, Barranquilla has launched a sightseeing bus tour. The tour will take you to strategic stops such as the Gran Malecón, the Shakira statue, the Aduana building, etc. There are two tours available. The Sports Route starts at 9:00 am. The Cultural Route starts at 11:00 am. Both tours are in Spanish only! The tours are held every Sunday departing from the Gran Malecón. 17. Barranquilla es Río: Monthly River Tours
Barranquilla es Río, a new initiative by the city, promotes river tourism. Every last Saturday of the month, more than 50 boats offer various tours along the Magdalena River.
